Since acquiring the Harts Head Inn in late 1997, the menu
has been constantly reviewed and developed. The choice is remarkable and the
quality is outstanding. We offer something for everyone. Just enlarge the menu to see
the up to date range and current prices.
As you can see, we offer a fantastic selection of food, with most of the sauces being prepared
fresh. The sauces give a superb taste and this differentiates us from the standard
pub offerings normally provided by the bigger chains. We encourage our
professionally trained chefs to constantly develop the menu and to provide
quality speciality dishes. Currently, we have sizzling duck
to tempt those taste buds. We also only provide HOME MADE CHIPS. Every morning the
chefs start with raw peeled potatoes and convert them into real chips. Unusual yes,
but it demonstrates our attitude to quality.
We offer at least 4 vegetarian options, and again we receive many very
complimentary comments from vegetarians who are pleased not to be treated as second class citizens!
For those who prefer plain food we offer a great range of standard home prepared dishes such as steaks, Steak & Ale pie, omelettes, or a choice of fish.
Our sweet menu changes by the week with many of the desserts being prepared by specialists in the catering industry (sorry we don't have time to do everything ourselves). We do, sometimes, have home made ice cream which gently massages the tonsils after a substantial main course.
Reservations are strongly recommended for our restaurant - our food takings
have grown substantially over the last few years and many of the locals
class the Harts Head as THE PLACE TO EAT in the Settle area.
Of course, if you want something lighter then we offer a snack menu
at lunch time in addition to the main menu.
